Mattel Pixar Cars Checklist: It’s What to Collect (2008 Winter Update)
Once upon a time, the rules were pretty simple - a hit popcorn movie or a hit animated movie meant toys, action figures & more toys … well, of course, since the lead time to make the toys was close to a year before the movie came out - you would have problems if the movie bombs or worse as photo below prove, when you frankly don’t care that much … yea, I’m pretty sure the IMF Team drove around in a big black vans that featured MISSION IMPOSSIBLE in giant stencil lettering - I mean, who hasn’t seen the CIA driving around town in those vans stenciled CIA!?

Or here is an action figure from the first Mission Impossible movie - pretty uncanny - huh?

Or not. But of course, the other reason are that kids are moving from toys to electronic games faster and faster so none of the old rules really applies - even in the best of times, it was rare for a tie-in to last much longer than the theaterical & DVD release, after that it was all downhill - there are obviously some notable exceptions (Starwars, have you heard of it?) but now Mattel’s Pixar CARS diecast Cars might join that short list and have some longevity including help Mattel make materials gains in the quarter.

If you haven’t started, it’s not too late. Unlike some other toy lines where once you miss the beginning boat, it’s an eBay struggle to catch back up but since Mattel has continually re-released every car from the film, you can still catch up.
For once, Mattel did not just cheap out and just slap a CARS sticker on some Ford Taurus but actually created nice renditions of the CARS cars - capturing the essence of the characters in the animated movie. I’m sure Pixar also made sure Mattel wasn’t just throwing anything out there.

And because of the impatience of some and the fact that Mattel Hot Wheels have some rabid collectors, on occasion, some of these $3.29-$3.99 cars have hit close to $90 … as shipments show up in difference places at different times and Mattel cleverly holds back releases of one or two … the movie & cars first came out in June 2006 and has pretty much been flying off the shelves since then.
PLAYSETS (without diecast CARS)
There were 5 playsets (4 of them replicas of the town) that are feast and famine. Right now, ALL OF THEM have returned to TRU shelves as EXCLUSIVES!

This is the Curio shop under the new WORLD OF CARS banner motif as with Ramone’s and Luigi’s … the contents are exactly the same - only the outside packaging design has changed.
Note, the photos are pictured with CARS but the playsets did not come with a diecast CAR/CARS (except for the Kohl’s Luigi).

NOTE: This photo is a pre-production model - they probably omitted the ramp for the final release for two reasons a) to save on costs and b) make it more in line with the movie).
The other playsets are: Luigi’s Casa Della Tires, Radiator Springs Curio Shop & Ramone’s House Of Body Art

Each take a couple AA batteries and the sign lights up on each. Also note, Flo’s lights are in a timing sequence to a Chevy V8 … just a little attention to detail.
There is also this early set called Radiator Springs Mountain Challenge and included 1 CAR - what was then called “Willy’s Butte Dirt Track McQueen” which was re-packaged later (to the chagrin of some collectors
as “Dirt Track McQueen” in wave #2.

PLAYSET TIMELINE
The history of the playsets - even though it’s only been 18 months is turbulent. Like most playsets, they appeared in great numbers during the initial release of late Spring in 2006 along with the first wave of CARS plus a few other items to form a solid wall of CARS. The general pattern is the cars or smallest items would sell off and then eventually, they would start discounting the remaining playsets a little, then more - until at some point, the box is so beat up - it’s like 75% off. Because in 99.9% of licensed lines, no one really cares that much about playsets - other than Star Wars which is generally the exception to the every rule, playsets generally are laggards in sales and even in the secondary market - there’s some action but frankly, most people don’t care that much. But of course, CARS is rapidly becoming the Star Wars of diecast …
So, in the beginning, Flo’s Cafe sold out quickly - while its price was a few dollars more than the other ones, it seemed larger and a better value. The Mountain Challenge playset also sold out quickly - both probably were made in smaller quantities since they took up more room and retailers didn’t want to order as many … basically Mattel figured if the line lasted 8 months of solid sales, they would be happy - that would take them from the release of the movie to the DVD release in November and then some holiday sales for 2006. Discount and markdown the rest by January and maybe like Buzz Lightyear, continue with a few additional releases a couple times a year (probably one reason the Easter Egg release at Target had cards with ZERO artwork on the back) - maybe taking up one or two pegs at most retailers but the playsets would be just a memory. How little they knew.
By late summer 2006, Flo’s Cafe was pretty much gone - there were still a few stranglers and there but the general impression was that it was gone and perceived as the centerpiece, people started bidding it up on eBay - of course, cresting last holiday at over $200 … because it’s virtually unheard of for playsets to return. Sure, people can cite some examples but it’s rare and amazing … meanwhile, the rest of the playsets either languished on the shelves or were readily available but no one really cared. I think the first of the remaining 3 to disappear was Lizzie’s Curio Shop - maybe around LAST AUTUMN 2006 but no one seemed to have paid it much attention. You could pick one up for a few extra dollars extra on eBay up until probably early summer 2007. Yea, no one really cared.
While Luigi’s was probably gone from the store shelves by Spring of 2007, Kohl’s had them online until September 2007 (costing more with the 5 CARS most people had is one reason why) and if you look hard enough, your Kohl’s might still have it but again, no one paid it much mind.
Ramone’s was the last to sell out … probably this summer, you could still find a few stragglers left on the shelf - even while Flo’s was going for $140 to $250 dollars, the other playsets all hovered around $20-$30 even on eBay until September 2007.
Of course, the power of eBay is that supply & demand is almost instantly reflected … the rumor was that Flo’s was coming back and then first appearing in Canada, the SC Flo’s Cafe drove the price down from hundreds overnight to essentially match the store price of $29.99.
(the Mountain Challenge playset also returned but no one really cares that much about that one since it’s such an oddball set … plus, it doesn’t technically match anything from the movie … if they had a oval shaped flat mountain course, people would be more excited …)
And then in late summer, early fall 2007 as the last Ramone was plucked off and the last Kohl’s Luigi was sold off online, prices of the three playsets have headed skyward.
The Curio Shop has returned as a TRU exclusive for $19.99 (today is 12/31/2007) and so has Ramone’s and Luigi’s Della Casa Tires under the WORLD OF CARS design/wave motif so no more insane eBay pricing of $90 to $200 for the playsets!
Mattel knows that 2008 will be the key - if they deliver what people want at the right times - they can actually create a THIRD diecast line that is EVERGREEN … and honestly, CARS probably has passed the MATCHBOX line in revenue and perhaps even in actual numbers in terms of cars sold … so I believe they are going to try and bring back the playsets and presumably add one or two more … I am just speculating but Mattel is usually pretty good about NOT leaving money on the table
… in this case, greed can be good (but enough already with the McQ & Sally MM packs, okay?)
NOTE: I am using generalities in noting when each playset sold out - clearly, there were stores that sold out quickly and conversely, someone will always find some store in some county that land & time forgot, right?
THE DIECAST CARS
For once, every CARS car is still in production so if you’re just interested in getting one of each and display them out of the box, it’s a great line not just because they look great but because you can still jump in and catch up in a matter of weeks.
Mattel did change the front and back design of the cards so if you’re a competist collector who keeps everything in a minty, mint shape and you want one or more of EVERYTHING - you have some work to do to catch up … so good luck to you - whatever your goal, this line deserves to continually sell out.
If you want to skip ahead, we have a checklist/spreadsheet online - with different versions depending on how you are collecting them, by waves, as a completist or as an opener type.
So, here’s your basic checklist (in order of release):

WAVE 1
“Desert” Front Artwork - Each CAR had its own illustration on the back along with a personalized paragraph. 12 Cars are featured on back of the card. This was the initial wave that arrived a few weeks before the movie arrived. How simple it looked to collect these
Chick Hicks
DJ
Doc Hudson
Fillmore
King
Lightning McQueen
Lizzie
Mater
Sally
Sarge
Sheriff
Wingo
Some other CARS were available in multi-packs - also with the desert artwork and with personalized descriptions on the back.
MULTI PACKS WAVE 1
Boost & Snot Rod
Flo & Ramone-Purple
Luigi, Guido & Tractor
Red & Stanley

WAVE 1.5
“Desert” front artwork - every CAR from Wave 1 was re-released with same front artwork on card but 16 cars are now featured on the back. In addition, the 4 NEW cars added (below) are only available as 16-back versions with desert artwork.
Dinoco McQueen
Leakless
Nitroade
Ramone-Green

(repeats from Wave 1 - though now featured as part of “16-cars” on the back)
Chick Hicks
DJ
Doc Hudson
Fillmore
King
Lightning McQueen
Lizzie
Mater
Sally
Sarge
Sheriff
Wingo
BUYING STATUS - No longer available in most retail stores. There are some rare sightings - either a return or they were cleaning out the back stock room. Of course, in some small dusty indie toy store you might still spot one or two … oh yes, there’s this place called eBay. Take note when some people call them them the original or series #1, they are often wrong as they either don’t look closely, don’t understand or just try and gloss it over. For 12 of the original CARS, there are TWO desert artwork versions - wave 1 and wave 1.5. Of course, if the CARS themselves are more important to you than the back of the cards, then it doesn’t matter - but just so you know.
At the end of wave 1 & wave 1.5, your collection would look something like this:

WAVE 2
NEW CARD DESIGN - now called “Supercharged,” artwork features Flo’s Cafe at nightime on the front - from @October 2006 to October 2007, this was the main front design and “Supercharged” was the designation Mattel applied to almost EVERY CARS related merchandise.
The back no longer featured a customized card for each CAR, there were 21 to 23 CARS featured on the back and varied from release to release. Unlike the previous cards, the actual release of the CAR never quite synced with the CARS featured on the back.
NOTE - Every car from Wave 1 & Wave 1.5 were/are still available - minor changes to the line include the following got name “changes.”
Chick (previously called Chick Hicks)
Fillmore (now spelled correctly versus previous versions called ‘Filmore’)
Leak Less (previously Leakless)
Again, in addition to every CAR carried over from Wave 1.0 & Wave 1.5 with no real changes to the CAR itself. The following were added to the lineup with the new artwork. Not all the CARS were “new” new as some were previously available in the multi-packs.
Boost
Brand New Mater
Cruisin’ McQueen
Dirt Track McQueen
Fabulous Hudson Hornet
Hamm
Radiator Springs McQueen
Ramone-Yellow
The new multi-packs also were designated ‘Supercharged’ and now called Movie Moments.
MULTI PACKS
Buzz & Woody
Fillmore & Sarge
Guido & Luigi (Ferrari Fans)
Mike & Sulley
Sally & Crusin’ McQueen
Every multi-pack from Wave 1 was still available and re-released and repackaged as Supercharged Movie Moments:
Boost & Snot Rod
Flo & Ramone-Purple
Luigi, Guido & Tractor
Red & Stanley
WAVE 3
Between wave 2 & wave 3 was the Sarge recall glitch. Just as Mattel was ready to ramp up for the all-out blitz on our wallets, the Sarge recall threw everything out of kilter. Mattel had to go back and test every car and then test all their other products so for three months, there was a huge gap of practically no CARS. But then after a long summer, Part II of the Supercharged CARS returned.
Again, in a departure from Mattel’s now SOP, NOTHING was deleted or “retired,” everything released to this point continued to be available and re-released in the Supercharged packaging.

New additions to the line included:
Bling Bling McQueen
Bob Cutlass
Bug Mouth McQueen
Crusin’ Ramone
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Darrell Cartrip
Dinoco Chick Hicks
Ferrari F430
Hydraulic Ramone
Mario Andretti
RPM #64
Tex Dinoco
Tongue McQueen
Yeti
BUYING STATUS: While Mattel is transitioning to the new World of Cars design, there are many on the pegs still of the Supercharged design. Again, if you’re just interested in the CAR itself, ZERO CARS are being retired - they have simply been repackaged in the next design.
Presumably the error CAR of the Fabulous Hudson Hornet with white rims is retired as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet now is correctly “dressed” in red rims (as the CAR is issued only in red rims now). There was no name or packaging model number change. Note Doc Hudson does however come CORRECTLY in a white rim version and in 2008, there will be a red rimmed version (also as seen in movie).
WAVE 4
As of October 2007, Mattel has introduced the new wave and card design as WORLD OF CARS. They feature the CAR on a street in Radiator Springs with the desert background (different from the first Wave). Each CAR now has a license-plate like motif and design indicating its character name on the front.
Only 14 CARS are featured on the back of the card that can be used a checklist as each photo of the CAR is accompanied by a check box. Each CAR has also been assigned a number though not in any apparent order (not alpha, not in order of release, etc, etc …)
Again, no CARS are being retired. The new ones released so far include:
Dinoco Helicopter
Fred
Pit Crew Fillmore
Pit Crew Guido
Pit Crew Hornet
Tom Race Official
With these last 6 individual CARS on blister cards, we can conclude the wild ride year of 2007.
Released so far in 2008 on individual cards:
Charlie Checker (98% same car as WM exclusive Piston Cup Pace Car except this version has yellow tail-lights, WM version had red tail-lights).
Chuki (COMING SOON)
Dudley Spare (Octane Gain Pit Crew)
Lightning Ramone (COMING SOON - same car as Gift Pack Lightning Ramone)
Ghostlight Ramone (same CAR, new card)
My Name is Not Chuck
Tow (Piston Cup Tow Truck)
For packaging collectors, note of the above CARS come with NEW snipe on the front of the card AND there are versions that do not have the ‘new’ designation.
“New” CARS in the Gift Packs include:
Charlie Checker (old name - Piston Cup Race Official) (with YELLOW Tail-lights)
Dirt Track McQueen
Gold Mia
Gold Tia
Lightning Ramone
New CARS as part of the Movie Moments include:
Dinoco Mia
Dinoco Tia
Gaspirin #70
Tow Cap #4
What’s coming in 2008 can be found on our new 2008 post.
We have put togther a snippet checklist from September 2007 to today here.
Mattel has announced MAJOR CHANGES for the next few months, read this post.
Of course, every previously released CAR on a card with the exception of the white rimmed Fabulous Hudson Hornet has already returned as a WOC CAR or will about to be re-released through 2008. Be sure and view our checklist to get a full list of what’s out so far.
For those who are collecting a full set of RETURNING cars on WOC cards (all the repeats, it’s hard to keep track of whta you have or don’t have - here is a checklist for ONLY those returning CARS (NOT THE NEW ONES).
(ALMOST) NO TREASURE HUNTS
Until November 2007 this was ALL TRUE …
Mattel has surprisingly kept this a mass market line with very few purposeful or accidental variants. For those who are not rabid collectors, some toy companies like to issue “variants” to keep everyone guessing and on their toes. These “variations” on the item can be accidental or purposeful - usually invoving painting something a different color or a slightly different looking accessory - and/or usually releasing them in llmited quantities requiring a “chase” (or eBay) to get it. Some just involve a little more work or others really annoy consumers because thety might be packed 1 to every 20 cases. Fortunately, Mattel has decide not to roil a good thing and keep things everything fairly straightforward. That’s not to say there hasn’t been any hiccups as WE ALL KNOW with this line but none of the shennigans seem to be part of some evil master plan on Mattel’s part - just bad luck and at worst, laziness on their part. All this is covered in greater detail in this post.
The ONLY CAR that can deemed such is a mistake CAR. This Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater - which some people don’t consider him part of the line. The main big strike against him is that this version does not appear in the movie … but “incorrect” or not is not always a relevant argument about what is considered part of the toy release lineup because you could just as easily argue the white-rimmed Fabulous Hudson Hornet is incorrect (as Doc Hudson “dressed” as the Fab Hudson Hornet never appears that way in CARS - in the movie, the FHH is ALWAYS in red rims). Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater has appeared in two sets in 2006: Mater’s Rollin’ Bowlin’ Game* & the BJ Warehouse Box Set (see below) and there was always some quibble about whether he was part of the lineup but at Comic Con 2007, Mattel raffled off and later sold a “2006 Factory Sealed Case” of 27 CARS that included Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater thus pretty much ending any argument whether he’s canon or not.

KB is reporting it as sold out now but they will email you if they find more. (Also note - KB is closing and starting clearance sales at 156 stores).

THIS HAS NOW OFFICIALLY CHANGED!

While not officially a treasure hunt/chase car in the normal scheme of things. On November, with the release of the Blu-Ray CARS DVD, for $3.50 (plus tax), you get a “free” CAR. It is limited to 15,000 and you have to sign up with the Disney Movie Rewards Club (signup is free).
ALL the info is available at our other post on signup tips, etc, etc.
This promotion has ENDED (sorry!) - looks like eBay is your option now.

NEW HANGING BLISTER MULTI-PACKS
PIT ROW RACE OFF
“Each includes a die-cast vehicle with launcher. It’s your favorite racers from the hit Disney/Pixar movie CARS, in the new Pit-Stop Racers Assortment. Each includes a die-cast vehicle with launcher. Connect the launchers to recreate Pit Crew Row, then send your character cars into high performance mode with a pow! Assortment includes Lightning McQueen, The King, Chick Hicks, Octane Gain, Leak Less and Nitroade.”

There are four shipments scheduled of six per box (Sealed boxes end in A-B-C-D). They will retail for around $7.99.

3-PACK (HANGING BLISTERS)
There are at least 8 shipments versions available throughout the early part of 2008.

The Gift Packs (not all are pictured above) shipping first will be:
#1 - Cactus Lightning McQueen, Charlie Checker the Piston Cup Pace Car & The King
#2 - Flo, Lightning Ramone (NEW) & Lightning McQueen
#3 - Cactus McQueen, Sheriff & Dirt Track Hudson (NEW)
#4 - Gold Mia (NEW), Gold Tia (NEW), Bling Bling McQueen (Different Eyes?)
The retail price will probably be $9.99 to $12.99.
NOTE: For completists, the Pace Car has not only been given a name (Charlie Checker) but apparently they forgot to paint in the red tail lights so this is an official variant.
BLISTER (J-HOOK EXCLUSIVES)
Wal Mart Exclusives
In Stores …
Al Oft (the Lightyear Blimp)
Barney Stormin’ Bi-Plane
Bruiser Bukowski (Chick Hicks Pit Crew)
Cactus McQueen
Ghostlight Ramone (Blue)
Kori Turbowitz
Piston Cup Pace Car
T.J. (Boot Camp Hummer)

AND the Wal Mart exclusives come in TWO versions - one with an interstate logo on the front reading NEW and another version without the NEW! on the front. Some of you will say me’h and the COMPLETISTS out there will have to make another run to the ATM and weep silently.

Also: Kori might be worth a second look for completists or precisionists. In the illustration on the card and the movie (I checked), her PRESS pass stickered/magnetized to her left front quarter panel is level and straight. The diecast version features everything from level/straight to wildly askew … so you have to decide if:
a) you care
b) you want the straight one only
c) you consider an askew one a variant.
And for those of us who hate out-of-scale - the blimp is clearly out of scale … though kind of close to this scale - the TOMY vending machine CARS (scroll down to see the CARS). Hard to find in vending machines now but you still should be able to find them on eBay - watch out for shipping, it’s about $2 to ship including the cost of an envelope so make sure you’re not getting cheated there. You can also check here to compare pricing.
One more competist update - apparently the license plate on the back of the green TJ Hummer reads either TUF GUE or TUF GUY … if you care to collect both.
And if you’re out West, here’s why it’s harder to find WM exclusives.
Target Exclusives
Easter Eggs: Chick, Lightning McQueen & Sally. Each CAR was packaged inide a plastic Easter egg - green for Chick, blue for Sally & red for Lightning. Chick was the rare egg in the lot and the harder one to find.

For autumn 2007, Target offered three CARS with a mini pumpkin stand:
Crusin’ McQueen, Doc & Purple Ramone are the only available.

For the holidays of 2007, Target had MOCK CARS “ornaments” - note the word MOCK. They are not actual ornaments. They come on a clear “snow” tray and while the artwork makes it appears they are ornaments - they so not something you can hang on a tree.

TRU Exclusives
Also on cards are these “Movie Doubles” only at toysrus.com and in the stores (exclusive):
Speed & Tongue McQueen
Red & Purple Ramone
Young Mater & Mater
Doc Hudson & Fabulous Hudson Hornet (not pictured).
(the yellow tab allows you to ’switch’ the billboard art).

There are 4 new ones for 2008 - photos coming but YES, nothing new, just re-packs of older releases.
PLUS (for completists)
VARIANTS
If you’re unfamiliar with the terminology of collecting - you can read our glossary/jargon post here where we cover variants.
Here is a brief recap of the variants (more details in the post link above):
CARS VARIANTS
Boost (Thailand - more lavender/copper in bright lights than China - more correct purple)
Sally (Thailand - tampo decals different slightly)
The King (Thailand - wheel well 1mm further away)
Fabulous Hudson Hornet (incorrect white rims)
Fred (No license & with Fred license plate)
TJ (TUF GUE license plate & with TUF GUY license plate)
Kori (Angled ‘press’ badge & level/straight ‘press’ badge)
Pace Car/Charlie Checker (WM red tail-light/3-pack yellow tail-light)
CARS PACKAGING VARIANTS
Lizzie (No ‘promotion information’ on card back)
Sarge (No ‘promotion information’ on card back)
Wingo (No ‘promotion information’ on card back)
Fillmore (Spelled wrong on front & back as Filmore)
Fillmore (Spelled Filmore on the back)
Starting with WM 8 (September 2007), all “new” releases and some quasi-new (Ghostlight Ramone on WOC card) come in two versions - NEW & “blank.”
Whether you consider these important enough to own an extra CARS for the sake that the front cards are slightly different is entirely your call. In theory, you can add the “Conga” version of Flo & Ramone versus the version where they are packed faced to face but to me, that is going a bit far because there are SC cards with the fatter stubby clear plastic J-hook and there are version with the current J-hook … so there is no end to where you draw that line.
ALSO NOTE for completists - almost all of wave 2 and wave 3 CARS are now ALSO shipping with a mini poster tucked underneath so if you’re a complete completist … now you have to reason to buy a new Sally. There are NO posters shipped with wave 4 (WOC cards).
SUMMARY
So, there are close to @90 different individual CARS as we speak now (200
- more if you count variants.
If you’re collecting just one of everything that is not a repeat - the “basic checklist” above is essentially your list to go by. Our forthcoming list broken out by shipment BOX CODE is here. If you need a “real” checklist, visit our online spreadsheet at EditGrid. We have included three different checklists depending on what you are collecting.
Now, if you’re attempting to assemble a complete, complete with many repeats of the same cars but in different packages? Keep reading but note that the listings below features the EXACT same CARS - just packaged differently so if you want everything and all of it

If you are really curious about the different versions of card backs, here’s our way-too-indepth analyses
PLAYSETS (with Diecast CARS)
There was also a version of Luigi’s Casa Della Tires that came with 5 CARS: Guido, Luigi, Sally, Lightning McQueen & Doc Hudson. This was/is a Kohl’s Stores Exclusive and can still be found on the store shelves.
Another tough one to find is the Piston Cup 500 Playset and comes with a Lightning McQueen but unless you are a completist, it’s now available with 4 other CARS at TRU under the same name.

Under the (Wave 2) SUPERCHARGED banner are these playsets with CARS:
There is a Lightning Fast Speedway Track Set with Lightning McQueen

There is a Mack playset which the trailer opens to reveal a service bay & car wash area - technically not matching anything from the movie. Mack and everything is all plastic. Also comes in “original” and Supercharged packaging.

and a Radiator Springs Playmat that included a Sheriff.

Just out now, a not-very-to-scale Mack that folds out called the Mega Mack Playtown. Comes with Lightning McQueen, Doc Hudson and the street paver, Bessie. Note, the street paver is all plastic and is incorrect in scale and according to reader “Matt”, Doc & McQueen are also ALL plastic so you can decide if it’s what you want:

The Mack Mega Playtown TV Ad:
BOX SETS/EXCLUSIVES
Way back in early summer of 2006, BJ’s Warehouse released two Box Sets, the first contained: a Blue Mater (Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater), Doc Hudson, Ramone-Purple, Sally, Sheriff and Wingo. The second set contained: Chick Hicks, Fillmore, King, Lightning McQueen, Lizzie & Sarge. These sold out quickly but seem to have made a brief return in November 2006 - and selling out again quickly. It doesn’t appear there was was any packaging change.
In Summer of 2006, there began a series of more exclusive box sets starting with this one from Target: a Mack Transporter Set which was essentially “Mack” as a car carrier. The set came with Mack (of course), Lightning McQueen & Sally. NOTE: Mack was all plastic and not diecast. His cab portion was in scale to the other CARS but his hauler portion is definitely not to scale.

When the DVD came out last Autumn, Best Buy offered an exclusive: The DVD packaged with: Doc Hudson, Fillmore, Lightning McQueen, Mater.
There was a Target exclusive but is now available everywhere - the Race Case and Track, which is an oval shaped carrying case that holds 16 cars. (Now with “Supercharged” logo treatment - first versions with desert art backing like Wave 1).

Then several Wal-Mart exclusives (SUPERCHARGED label):
Mack Transporter Set now with: Chick, Leak Less & Lightning McQueen. (Same Mack as previous - all CARS diecast).
A Radiator Springs Shopkeepers set featuring: Fillmore, Mater, Ramone-Green & Sarge.

A Cruisin’ Couples set: Flo, Lightning McQueen, Ramone-Purple & Sally.
A Courtroom Crew set: Doc Hudson, Sally & Sheriff.
Then a few Target exclusives followed (SUPERCHARGED label):
These two sets are still on Target shelves if you look hard enough …
Tractor Tippin’: Lightning McQueen, Mater & Tractor.
Tunerz Vehicles: Boost, Snot Rod & Wingo.

Lastly, there are two Toys R Us exclusives that you can still find on the shelves:
The current version of the Piston Cup 500 Track playset now comes with Lightning McQueen, Chick, Leak Less & King. (see way above for what track & set looks like opened).
There is a “booster” (two spinning discs) that sends the cars racing around the track. Seems like fun though apparently one should keep it away from the windows as it can just send the CARS flying off the track.
Out now, there is Radiator Springs 5-Pack: Doc Hudson, Lizzie, Mater, Sally & Sheriff (pretty certain this is a TRU exclusive).

And a 7-pack version. I’m think the 7-pack is a Wal mart exclusive but I’m losing track

And a Piston Cup Racers …

And yet another Mack Playset with “Bonus Car,” meaning whatever Mattel has left in the warehouse? (NOT OUT YET)

The Mack Lightning McQueen Runaway set seems to be a Disney Store exclusive, Apparently, if you press a button, Speed will come shooting out of Mack. As with the other Macks, he’s all plastic - making this item seem a little spendy if all it does is shoot LM out the back … high price not so unusual since it’s at the Disney stores (should be available in Disney retail stores also). (Thanks to readers, Harry B & Tina for the update and link).

Also Note - the Disney store carries “CARS FIGURINES” and they are just that - they are NOT diecast so look carefully! The Disney store also sells a line of 1:64 diecast CARS that are NOT part of the Mattel 1:55 scale lineup so again, look carefully!
JC Penney and maybe others now have a “Meet at Flo’s” set which is another version of the Townies CARS.
There are two “new” 6-packs at BJ’s Warehouse for 2007 - new only in the sense the box label & name is new, it’s the same Radiator Springs townie CARS and/or the Piston Cup racers out just re-packaged AGAIN. Just going from photos they look very similiar to the look and feel of the current box sets - CARS visible with a scene backdrop matching the box theme …
Cruise Night: Mater, Doc Hudson, Sheriff, Sally, Purple Ramone and Crusin’ Mcqueen.
Speedway 6: Ferrari F430, King, Chick Hicks, Nitroade, Dinoco Mcqueen, and RPM.
This TARGET exclusive has arrived … “Dinoco 400.” The three “new” CARS are: Octane Gain, Vinyl Toupee & No Stall. The price of the box is $29.99 in stores or $19.99 online.

Sam’s Club exclusive from Christmas 2007, the “10-Pack Value Box.”
(You can see what CARS are included - other than three of the more recent WM CARS, same old-same old - though a decent starter set for someone just joining, It’s $29.87).

The newest & first box set of 2008 is a TRU only box set, DINOCO BLUE (all re-releases).

Also at Comic Con 2007, Mattel held a drawing for this set of 27 CARS called 2006 Factory Set‘ (everything up to Leak Less was the description). While no one has cracked it open (2 were raffled off - leaving @498 available when Mattel gives the word), it looks like they are the original/desert design cards.
Mattel put up the other 498 on sale 11/27/2007 at the HotWheels Collector’s website 9 AM Pacific US Time For $149.99 plus shiping + membership costs.
Details can be found at our Mattel Factory 2006 Set post.
It has shipped to many who were able to get one (sold out in 3 hours) - our unboxing photos are here - if you’re interested, check eBay.
12-CAR CARRYING CASE with LAUNCHER
Holds @12 CARS (includes SNOT ROD) and has a “launching” feature plus ramp. Mattel also sells a version for Speed Racer & Hot Wheels.

In stores now & also online at Amazon.
SUMMARY
What’s great is you’re an opener or your kids will actually be playing with them (or kids at heart), you can jump in anytime. eBay prices for all but the newest cars are all reasonably priced now (there are still some gougers out there but hey, that’s the beauty & beast of eBay)
You can still be caught up in a matter of weeks if all you want is just one of everything. The “town” playsets will take a little more time but all are available at TRU except for Ramone’s if not today then fairly rapidly in the next few weeks.
And other than the two original 2006 BJ Warehouse Club box sets, the other sets are usually available at near the original retail selling price on eBay since they were all re-issues of CARS already out - many “openers” don’t find much value in re-collecting them … of course, for completists, it’s another stake in their bank account
Now, I’m only collecting the Mattel 1:55 diecast line but there are probably close to 200 different other CARS cars out there from pullbacks to ripcords to tiny vending machine ones. Other than the Mini’s, you are on your own there - sorry - good luck!
It’s a great line - if you missed out, it’s not too late to jump in … (We have added some buying tips).
If you want everything you’ve read here along with over 300 high resolution photos + a lot more writing (believe it or not), get it all in book form. Read the post about it or the direct link for ordering.
FANATICS
If you collect packaging variant, don’t forgot Flo & Ramone - available three ways (um, adults, make your own joke here)

How offen does this web site get updated? I’m a collector of 1:55 single editions (supercharged) in the UK and was wondering if there are any schedules for the upcoming releases.
(METROXING COMMENT: I tried to update it as soon as I hear new info. Upcoming ones are discussed here. Note, however, my info only pertains to the US releases, I’m not sure if they are in sync with the UK. If you would like to add anything, let me know.)
July 5, 2007 at 3:00 am
Wow!! You’ve assembled an incredibly comprehensive CARS resource. As a CARS 1:55 fan and collector in Canada I’m anxious to see Rusty and Dusty RustEze and Mia & Tia. Thanks for all your hard work.
July 6, 2007 at 12:01 am
I have the Tounge Mcqueen , but it has a mispaint on it. Where the tounge is sticking out it has the headlight paint on it. So on the tounge it has a headlight with a 95 in it. I was wondering if you thought this would be worth anything?
(METROXING: If you haven’t opened it, there are people who buy error CARS - do a search on Ebay for ERROR MATTEL PIXAR CARS (or some variant of that) and see what others are selling for - you can decide if you want to sell it now or later down the line).
July 11, 2007 at 6:20 pm
on another website i found that there might be a posibility for 2 more characters the Gas Guzzler RV and the GoodYear Blimp, can anyone confirm That?
(METROXING: Check out our SEALED CASES post for an update on 2007 and yes, both Gas Guzzler RV & the LIghtyear Blimp are included).

I am a CARS collector for my son and also for myself and we both want the Peterbilt Truck that McQueen mistakes for Mack in the movie.. heard any rumblings about Mattel releasing that one? Thanks for the list!
(METROXING: Yea, that was a great scene … haven’t heard anything yet but we should get news for the upcoming holiday season in the next month or so …
July 14, 2007 at 8:09 pm
You can find the Piston Cup 500 Track set with 4 cars only at Toys R Us. They sell it exclusively online and at the stores.
(METROXING: Thanks for the heads up - it was announced as something different so it was listed above but I have corrected in the listing to reflect the current name - Piston Cup 500 Track … and you’re right, it’s still available in the stores & online).
July 16, 2007 at 7:36 am
Hey man, just wanted to check - maybe I missed it in the list up there but on the back of the 2nd series/supercharged 2 packs, one of the 7 listed is a pack of the ‘customs’ gang that includes DJ & Wingo (there are 2 others in the pic), yet you don’t have them listed. Is this an international/non U.S. thing?
(METROXING: In wave 2, there was a SNOT ROD & BOOST “re-release,” I only listed it once if it’s a repeat from Wave 1 … but you’re right, there was no 2-pack with Wingo or DJ in the US … the closest would the Target exclusive 3-pack “Tunerz.”
July 18, 2007 at 10:54 am
I have seen potograghs of all the cars & playsets
realy realy realy need Ferari Hydralic Ramone
And other cars like that. Already have Lightning McQueen Doc Boost Snot rod Wingo DJ Red Stanley Ramone PURPLEN GOLD GREEN Flo

July 20, 2007 at 6:52 am
i’m trying to assemble a near complet collection with my son of one of everything (not concerned about packaging) but are having a real hard time rying to track down the ferrari has it ever been released in the uk as the cars toys only seemed to have just hit us with the dvd release of the movie over here don’t really recall them being about as much with the cinema release my main supplie is woolworths as most other places don’t seem to be as well stocked any advice is good advice
(METROXING: If the UK releases are in sync with the US releases (just a little later), you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding the Ferrari in theory - it’s listed as part of every box coming out in the next few months here in the US - while they aren’t plentiful yet on the shelves, it doesn’t look like it’s very limited. If you can find a seller willing to ship cheap int’l - the prices aren’t that high anymore - especially with the huge drop in the value of the dollar …
July 21, 2007 at 2:24 am
ive found heaps of ferrari and the other releases from his run quite readily here in new zealand. only one ive struggled to find is nitroade. finally found one yesterday, and searching for months!
the current new releases shouldnt far away in the uk. i love tex and rpm 64. awesome styling. we have them at kmart, and walmart/target type stores. have you tried there? our supermarkets dont have the diecasts.
July 22, 2007 at 1:31 pm
My grandson says that he has seen a Mack with a button that you push and a Lightning comes rolling out Have you heard of such a Mack?
(METROXING: It’s apparently a Disney Store exclusive. Similar to the Mattel Mack, but not the same. I haven’t seen it yet and it doesn’t appear to be available online yet - but of course, anyone under the age of 9 knows
)

itd be nice to find something like this on the shelves! http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Pixar-Cars-Express-TRAIN-Custom_W0QQitemZ140143144157QQihZ004QQcategoryZ19224QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem very neat idea, using the promotors as carriages [rust-eze, htb, dinoco etc] some of the custom sets are awesome! id love to know how they do… very hard to avoid buying some of them!
(METROXING: Wow, that is a cool custom! 90% of it is of course being to repaint or create decals … and the other 10% is the ability to use something called “sculpty” which is a clay like substance but requires no baking (most hobby & craft stores sell it) for molding it to modify the original store bought figure/car … so if you’re good with your hands, give it a try.)
July 30, 2007 at 10:02 pm
Stop paying those crazy prices on the internet go to Wal-Mart an buy pixar cars.I found all the cars i have payed 3/7 dollars. Its a little work but it is worth it if your a real collect.39.00$ for Yeti i do not think so!!!
July 31, 2007 at 6:11 am
Hello, im finding it really hard at the momment to find some of the new releases here in the UK, i have found dinoco chick the ferrari and hydraulic ramone but i wondered if Tex dinoco, bling bling mcqueen, rpm and tounge mcqueen have been released here yet?
July 31, 2007 at 8:26 am
Yes,they have go to amozon.com,toywiz or click on pixar cars an you should find what your looking for.Try RPM diecast cars
(METROXING: Amazon.com does not directly sell the Pixar Cars but be sure and look at the NEW/USED pricing on the lower right. Smaller sellers and retailers are listing most CARS at much lower prices. Toysrus.com does sell individual ones online but check shipping costs).

My Flo’s cafe looks a lot different then the one pictured above. The top of mine does come off but I do not have the ramp that sheriff is sitting on. My Flo’s cafe was bought brand new from the store. I also noticed all of the details in the cafe part are all different also. Nothing is the same color or put in the same place. What is this all about?
(METROXING: Since I missed out on Flo’s, I just grabbed a photo online from a store - I checked with someone else, the photo is a pre-production model - they probably omitted the ramp for two reasons a) to save on costs and b) make it more in line with the movie).

do anyone knows about ths withe car with the Mac logo on it, im a mac fan an a cars fan too, me and my son (3 y o) will tanks 4 the info!!!
HI!! from mexico.
(METROXING: If you look closely at the Comic Con photos, you’ll spot him - Mattel only announced that the Piston Cup Racers would be out in a multi-pack (first one shown is 7 cars). He’s not in the first box so we don’t know when that will be but presumably before the year ends - I’ll be in line also!
)
August 6, 2007 at 4:15 pm
My son and I have been collecting the 1:55 diecast cars for about a year. Just recently, we’ve been finding lots of cars we never could before-like Fillmore and Sarge at Toys R Us. And Guido, Luigi and Tractor at Target. What’s the deal? Did Mattel start making more? Anyway, my son Jameson and I are very impressed with your website. Mom
(METROXING: If you’ll look around, you’ll see the link for our followup blog post on what’s coming/sealed cases and that gives you a breakdown of what’s arriving in stores as we speak - looks like “T” SHIPMENTS are heading to the stores now.)
August 7, 2007 at 6:29 am
Will the Toys R Us exclusives be available in the UK as i cant see them on the website?
(METROXING: US Website? Here’s a link to the 2 McQueen’s, or you mean it’s not on the UK site - that’s hard to say as most company’s overseas opertions are another division and while TRU is large in the US, not sure about their status in the UK - in terms of getting rights to exclusives just like there are no more Woolworth’s left in the US while in the UK, it’s still large enough to lock up exclusives.)
August 9, 2007 at 2:00 pm
I’ve noticed a Supercharged version of Flo’s Cafe on ebay in the last few days… I’ve never seen this one before. What gives? Is this a re-release?
(METROXING: It looks like the rumors are TRUE. Especially since the original Flo’s was NOT a “Supercharged” item and featured the desert background. Flo’s looks like the rarity of a playset returning - hopefully they made it enough quantity this time. The eBay listing I saw was Canada so it might’ve hit their stores first?)
August 9, 2007 at 5:21 pm
im wondering about the rollin bowlin set. where in the movie does it actually ‘take place”? ive just read an online blurb that says “features bowling alley sounds as heard in Radiator Springs.” and its got me wondering?
i love the blue mater they put with it! might have to buy one.
the big mack set with bessie has just been released here in new zealand. retailing at $99 and our walmart type store. he says two phrases and has two truck noises. havent opened the box, so dont know what bessie looks like. if i can get a second cheap, ill open it.
(METROXING: The only two possible instances that the bowling alley might be featured would be a) in the flashback scene as Sally is reminscing to Lightning after their drive and b) after Lightning returns as champ and the city of Radiator Springs is bustling (Mike Schumacher shows up) … but if there are any bowling sounds, it would be pretty faint and in the background - I guess I’ll have to cue up the movie to verify. The rollin’ bowling’ mater now features the “rusted” Mater so it’s kind of hard to find - you might actually find a loose used one - otherwise, you can look around on eBay for the BJ warehouse set. The Big Mack with Bessie is a cute set though note, Bessie is made of plastic and at least in the prototype, way out of scale - I think it’s around $35 here in the US so, road trip?)
August 9, 2007 at 10:24 pm
Thanks for all the helpful info. I collect these cars for my son which is crazy for all of them(2yrs oyd) For those who just buy them to play with I go to KB Toys and pre pay for them and when they arrive they call me and save what’s on my list. (even the hard to find) I am not in inthe hurry to have them all but I will have them!
August 10, 2007 at 2:02 am
thanks for that! do you know how much they retailed at originally? [rollin bowlin]
i just cant get enough of your site… im here at least once a day, looking for updates.
does anyone here know how many different eye positions there were on the mcdonalds cars? ive got 4 different eyes for doc, fillmore and luigi, so im hoping theres only 4. info on them seems impossible to find… all i get is the muddy/clean mcqueen, and the three ramones.
August 10, 2007 at 5:34 am
I just looked at flos cafe on e-bay and it seems the new supercharged version of flos v8 cafe which was being sold from the USA is a Toys R Us exclusive. Hopefully this means that mattel are re-releasing it.

Mattel has just issued a product recall for one of their Cars products namely Sarge with product numbers of H6414 M1253 K5925 L6294 L4051. This is due to excessive lead paint. If I don’t intend to open the itme, do you think itis wise to keep the item? For more info check out
http://service.mattel.com/us/recall.asp
(METROXING - In case you missed it, it’s the last line of the post - we added it this morning or the full blog post. If you are in the Philippines, the recall might not extend to you - all depends on Mattel so you might not have many options. I think the only real concern is with kids who tend to put things in their mouth or chew on it. If you have it open on a shelf - as an adult, there’s not much danger to your health. Of course, will you pass that toy along to your kids and does your grandkid put it in his mouth? So, to be safe, it’s better either just to throw it away if you are outside the recall zone or perhaps a relative here in the US can mail it back for you.)

I wanted to know when these cars will be available in Canada? I have most of the cars as I go to Wal-mart everyday and also check out zellers. It would be nice if matell had things posted also. Are there going to be anymore Maters released. Thank you
(METROXING: I think Canada receives the int’l boxes so it’s slightly different. There’s no logical pattern but also because the current boxes also contains many of the same older ones, unless you go every few days, it’s hard to tell if the new ones just got picked clean … of course, right now - most US stoares have pulled ALL singles, not just Sarge - you can check our SEALED BOXES post to see what’s next and for 2007).
August 17, 2007 at 6:43 pm
when will the cars be put back on the shelves? Everywhere i go, all the stores havetaken them down. Do you have a time table?
(METROXING: Heard contradictory things - some people have heard they’re shipping everything they had back to Mattel to get new stuff - which I guess is good - though I’m not sure what Mattel has lying around. Technically, they were only supposed to pull Sarge so Mattel might be negotiating with them. The stores will only let the pegs stay empty for so long …

Does anyone know the SKU number for Flos’s V8 Cafe from Toys R Us?
Thanks,
Wendy
(METROXING: It’s either 52-2172 or 529-173 - hope one is the correct one. Looks like there is 4 Flo’s to a box - some stores report receiving 2 boxes. Good luck!)

I think I could get you a Tex. Could you get a Tongue McQueen. We could consider it an even trade. I would be happy to make even trades with anyone that needs a car that I can get easily.

Any news on a New Release of Sarge cars? I am not looking forward to paying ebay prices come christmas time if replacements are not made and shipped!
August 24, 2007 at 11:44 am
Great information on the site. I just wanted to add some UK specific details regarding some of the cars/products that are available. I have been buying these for my son and so far have managed to get all cars including up to Tex/RPM/Ferrari.
I have so far managed to buy all these without paying the silly eBay prices, although it may depend where you live, these cars are available in shops, although I have noticed the newer ones do get purchased fairly quickly.
The best stores to try does vary from week to week. I used to get a lot from TRU but our local store has not had any of the newer cars (Ferrari, Bling, Tex etc) from what I have seen. I have found the newer ones in both Woolworths and our local Toymaster stockist. Do not just rely on what is on the shelf though as on several occasions I have asked for any others and they have been stored out in the storeroom. The Entertainer also seems to have a good selection when I am there but there isn’t one local for to know which of the newer cars they are getting in.
The multipack cars seem to be available in different stockists. I have found the four-packs (e.g. Shopkeepers) available in Toymaster, and the three-packs (e.g. Tractor Tippin’
available only in Argos.
Since the Sarge recall I have found that TRU have taken all of the single cars off the shelf (I was told this was due to them needing to have new barcodes) so not sure when they will be back out. Other stores (Toymaster/Woolworths) still have stock on the shelves but no new deliveries in the past week where I live.
My guess is that the UK deliveries are about a month behind the US releases. I have yet to find a Yeti or Bug-Face McQueen though but these should be available soon hopefully.
As for the playsets we managed to pick up the three UK available ones (Ramones/Curio/Casa)fairly cheaply recently at ELC (£10-£12 each) as they were clearing out and appear to be getting no more new cars or playsets in. I am still looking for a Flo’s V8 Cafe although I have e-mailed TRU in the UK this week and they are not expecting any. I understand this playset was not available in the UK as it failed to meet EU safety standards (I have been told due to lead in the mechanics - not the paint) but not sure if this is something that has been addressed in the re-release in the US. Looks like I’m going to have to resort to eBay to try and get a good deal on getting this one…
Some other US toys have made it to the UK in the past few weeks - notbaly the large Dinoco Helicopter, the large Red, and the Mack playset. I want to mention the Dinoco Helicopter as Argos are doing a good package that also includes McQueen and Sally cars (as part of the package) - for £17.99.
There are also a couple of ‘exclusives’ that I have only found in certain UK shops. The Disney Store has a Cars Playmat which ’supposedly’ depicts Radiator Springs (for £6), and the Mack Transporter (with car transporter ) including Sally and Doc is available in Tesco Extra stores (for just under £10).
I was surprised to see on the new releases how many appeared to be Wal-Mart exclusives… although hopefully as Wal-Mart now owns the Asda stores in the UK these will also appear over here (let’s hope so anyway!).
Hope this is useful to those of you in the UK. Please let me know of you know of any other products that are available.
(METROXING: Great update! Glad to hear most products available overseas and reasonably priced.)

(METROXING: No date on the Mattel set. Some people have speculated it’s been pushed back from the Sarge recall. You can sign up for the email portion and you’ll get an email as to the date & time in the US when it goes on sale online. If the price is reasonable, you can sign up for the Collector’s cLub ($30 USD, I think) in order to qualify to get in the queue - it’s usually a pretty quick sellout … though my guess is the set will be several hundred dollars so perhaps not but Hot Wheels collectors seem to have plenty of time AND money).

It looks as though Toys R Us now have the single cars back on display in the UK. Our local store now have some out but only the usual ones of McQueen, Mater, Sally etc, so nothing new.
In the current Argos catalogue they are advertising the 3-pack sets (e.g. Tractor Tippin’
but also suggest there will be new sets coming with an image of the Buzz Lightyear car, so perhaps there will be a 3-pack of Buzz, Woody and Hamm. If this does happen there may be others as well… have to wait and see what comes out (perhaps Mike, Sulley and Yeti as well?). I believe these sets were Target exclusives in the US, and to my knowledge only available from Argos in the UK.
And I thought that ALL of the Ramone paint finishes would have been done now (with Ghostlight coming soon), but when I was watching the film the other night did I really see in the final race he has a lightning strike (similar to McQueen) along his side…. maybe one for next year.
(METROXING: Yes, the three packs were Target only but there was no three pack of Buzz, Woody and Hamm in the US … though they have pretty much repackaged every other combo

Just wanted to say that if anyone in the UK is struggling with finding Tex, RPM, Bling bling mcqueen and Tongue mcqueen; Martins a local newsagents seems to have the boxes that have these in. This is what the shop is called in the south-west but it is called something different in different areas. I was really suprised when i was looking through the shelf and box to find these as Toys R Us, Woolworths and The disney store down here do not stock them.

Hi please can people tell me where to get all the new cars. They are on ebay, but I can’t find them anywhere else~~hate paying ebay prices. New cars meaning…….yeti, tia and mia, all those new sets that are out. And even the racing fans cars? where do people get them???
(METROXING: It’s a little tough right now as the recall embargo is just ending but not in any discernable pattern across the country. Target is scheduled for 9/30 so wait a few more weeks before over-paying on eBay).

I just bought my little guy Mia & Tia, Mr. and Mrs. The King, and Yeti at a West Michigan Meijer store. I took the only Mr. and Mrs. The King, but there were other Mia/Tias and about 5 more Yetis, plus all our old standard pals. They also had new-style packages of BOTH Luigi/Guido sets (Tractor and Ferrari-style).
(METROXING: That’s interesting about the Luigi set …).

In the UK, one of our local stores got some new boxes of single cars in last week. Same set of cars as the previous release (Bling Bling, Tex, Tongue, RPM, Dinoco Chick and some Lizzie’s for those looking!) All cars had new barcodes stickers on the back, presumably due to the Sarge recall.
These also had ‘promotional’ stickers on with codes to claim, a free book (1 code), collectors car (6 codes) and carry case (12 codes). Details of the promotion can be found at http://www.carstoys.co.uk
I don’t believe it is necessary to enter a code for the free book. The webpage listed on the T&C page, http://www.disneybookclub.co.uk/carsoffer doesn’t appear to ask for a code!
I’ve no idea what the collectors car is yet as there are no details, but I’m guessing this could possibly be one that is a store exclusive in the US. The car is not available until 1st October, and after entering the codes on the site I simply got a message stating details would be e-mailed on how to claim the car but a day later there is still no e-mail… (I’m going to call them about this when I get a chance).
Can anyone in the US let me know the availability of Flo’s V8 Cafe in the TRU stores? I have relatives visiting NY later this month and wondered what chance they might have of picking one up. Also great to hear that the new cars are available as I will be asking them to look out for these as well!
(METROXING: Interesting news. No such promo in the US … the book offer is something Disney has in the US. It works like the record club deals - get a book free, agree to preview or decide if you x number of books throughtout the year … as for FLo’s availability, it’s hit or miss - there’s one TRU about an hour away from me with at least 12 of them but the one closest to me has zero but NYC does have the flagship TRU in Times Square - if anyone will get them … plus the HQ is in NJ so I would think the NY area stores would look the nicest … hope that helps. It’s $29.99 USD - converted to pounds, it’s practically free

I found two Flo’s just sitting on the shelf smiling at me about 3 weeks ago. I bought both for my sons. I have been about 3 times since I bought those. The last time I went, there was another one on the shelf. I am willing to try to get you one, if you are interested in trying to help me find Yeti, RPM, and any of the new ones. I would only charge the cost of the cafe and shipping. I truly believe that parents have to help each other.

Wendy:
Your TRU is carrying Cars die cast? The TRUs by me removed ALL the single die cast Cars when the Sarge recall came through; and they have yet to restock. It’s frustrating as they were the only ones who carried the new cars - Tex, RPM, BlingBling McQueen, etc.
Where are you?

I live in Arlington, Texas. Our TRU removed every single die cast car for several weeks, but they put them back out about two weeks ago. I still can’t find RPM or Yeti. I bought Tongue McQueen, but I have to buy him i
