OTHER NOTABLE CHARACTERS?
Mario Andretti’s assistant – based on a Lamborghini Urraco?

ANNOUNCED! COMING IN A MULTI-PACK WITH MARIO!
Maserati’s (Schumacher’s friends)

The Other Sarge Boot Campers

CHEAP TO DO VERSIONS
Pit Crew Mack

Mater with Blue Hood

Race Official with Different Flags (Checkered, Green, Yellow, & White)(well, if Mattel wanted to annoy us – one for each main retailer
)

Chick Hicks Pit Crew (sans mustache – ideally, we would get metal mustaches but then some kid would eat one and there goes the whole CARS ballgame).

CREWS WITH PIT STOP STAND?
(though you’d probably get crew chief plus 2 pit crew plus stand for $11.99?)

ANNOUNCED! CHICK HICKS WITH BRUISER PIT CREW!
DINOCO
The Stand

Showgirl’s Version

Their Luxury Suite

OTHER BOX SET POSSIBLES?
TV Director Diorama (with lencular screens)

Barb Wire McQueen Diorama (actually sways – battery to operate Sheriff headlamps)

Wrecked King with McQueen (lever underneath guides and pushes King)

ANNOUNCED! COMING IN A MULTI-PACK WITH LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!
Plow McQueen with Plow & Rubble (Just a McQ with plow might not be much fun … plus Mattel can charge an extra $2 for rubble that costs them $.09)

Replay Booth with Lencular (of the finish)

RSN Booth

RANDOM CAMERA CREW

MORE PIXAR OTHER?

THE RUSTED ONES

CROWD (what are ‘real life’ car model equvilients?)

AND OF COURSE, CARS WITH FOAM ATTACHMENTS

(of course, that’s Mia & Tia in the middle)

OLD TOWN/FLASHBACK?

MORE ‘WAY TOO MUCH METAL’ TO BE COST EFFICIENT
Maybe plastic, maybe it can come unassembled to really make it cost effective …

I’m sure they’ll get around to “McQ’s Biggest Fan,” RV on the right but hopefully in scale even if it’s plastic …

Because who would pay $399 for the RV 50 pack?

TRACTOR TRAILERS (also plastic)

EVENTUALLY, BRING $499 & A SPARE BEDROOM
There will be a near life size California Raceway set

Because our collection will look something like this when the CARS 2 SEQUEL comes out and if they can name 217 CARS with the technology/rendering & CGI of CARS, they should be able to cram in about 999 CARS for the sequel …

Now, of course, this isn’t complete … but it’s some of the possibilities … as Mattel is going to milk this line for all its worth until the sequel refresh of 2011.
To recap all our major posts – here is the entire 1:55 line recap.
Here’s what’s is coming in 2007 and then beyond.
Here’s a preview of the Blu-Ray HD feature which names 217 CARS.
Brief recap of why it’s so difficult to buy.
Just the Piston Cup Racers … and our spreadsheet.checklist to help you keep track plus how to collect.
And of our, our wild speculation as to what might be coming, the Mia/Tia Twins, and Part I of the post you just read.
Good luck!

This is a very cool post and a fun read. My five year old son loves these cars and I enjoyed reading about all the possibilities. I think the biggest rv fan would be hilarious.

Hi! We have you saved as “Dude’s list” because that is what my 4 year old calls it!
We have a lot of fun with your pictures, and projections of new cars, thanks for all the hard work.
On ebay we say golden boost, special edition snotrod, are those custom cars people are painting?
That’s dude guy! Keep up the great lists- the more pictures the better.
(METROXING: Thanks! Yea, some of the customs on eBay are pretty nice – some even go to the trouble to design a card for it but since Mattel seems intent on releasing everything, I think I’ll hold for the mass production version
… glad you enjoy the lists. I think if your 4-year old starts a letter writing campaign to Mattel, they’ll work faster

What about the Banshee from “Mater and the Ghostlight”? And while we are at it, what about Mater with the Ghostlight?
(METROXING: Mater with the Ghostlight – you’re right – that will probably be out but Banshee – much like Frank he Combine or Bessie – just too much metal to be cost effective and with higher prices, retailers are generally not willing to carry it since it’s not one of the main characters … though even in plastic, it would be great to have as long as it’s in scale

Hi,
I’ve starting making my own Radiater springs playsets.
I’m doing well, i’ve made Sarge’s house, Fillmore’s, Sally’s, Doc’s and the Courtroom. Nearly there!
(METROXING: We’d love to see some pics!)

One car that Mattel ‘have’ to do, that no one seems to have mentioned is the Pizza Planet delivery truck.
This has appeared in all the Pixar movies and is easily seen by the podium at the end of the race in Cars (Now with eyes, of course).
I’m surprised that they produced him already as he would be a favourite with Pixa fans.

(METROXING: Yea, I think he’s on the list – just my guess – but Mattel will not let 2008 pass without trying to sell us anything the can attach wheels to
… hope your summer is nice and toasty, we’re having a pretty cold winter this year …).

Hey, has anyone heard anything from Harry.B?
Hey buddy if you’re still out there we’re still waitin on those pics.
If you search “disney truck custom” on e-bay, it comes up with some pretty nice custom Mack trucks. It would be cool to see what you come up with.
Cheers.
